Questions 17-20

(ch 19 question wasn’t on the google drive document) “…All I want…” What are you reactions to this sin? In the book he uses a women who wants all these things according to her and she thinks this is all I want, but her needs are almost impossible to meet. To me this is all pretty selfish. At times we can be like that and think this is all I want and nothing else, but in reality our standards are too high. With that it leads us to be selfish and not thankful for the things we already have. Why would God want “complete abstinence or unmitigated monogamy” for us? God originally made sex between a married man and women to become one. He originally made it a innocent act and not corrupt. While Satan has twisted the idea of people being “in love” he has made them think its okay to have sex with anyone that you may be “in love” with. How is the World "...making the role of the eye in sexuality more and more important and at the same time making its demands more and more impossible"? The world today emphasizes the beauty of women and what they should be like. In reality those women on the magazines are unrealistic, it’s all computer edits that make them appear more “perfect” (skinny, no acne, soft skin, silky hair, etc.). Teenagers or young adults in today’s world are exposed to all these multi-media (movies, magazines, and tv shows) pressuring people trying to look like the “impossible.”
